EV Cashout - FAQ Summary

What is EV Cashout?
EV Cashout is a replacement of All-in Insurance and will be offered when players with 60% or higher pot equity after all live players have revealed their hole cards.
Example:  AA vs KK 

  • EV Cashout is offered in Hold’em, PLO, PLO-5, Rush & Cash, and Short Deck.
  • When there are multiple pots, EV Cashout will be offered by combining all pots which the player is eligible to win.
  • Cashout will be paid after the hand finishes.
  • If the player does not accept the EV Cashout within the given time, the offer will be automatically declined.

In which games does EV Cashout apply?
EV Cashout is offered in Hold'em, PLO, PLO-5, Rush & Cash and Short Deck

How does EV Cashout work?
Players with 60% or higher pot equity after all live players have revealed their hole cards will be offered an EV Cashout.

  • If the player accepts the EV Cashout offer, the Cashout will be paid to the player regardless of the result of the hand, and the player will forfeit the pot.
  • If the player declines the EV Cashout offer, they will continue to play for the pot.
  • EV Cashout is offered only after the flop cards have been dealt.

How is EV Cashout calculated?
EV Cashout is calculated as follows.

  • Cashout = (Pot size - rake - jackpot fee) x Equity
  • a 1% fee is charged on EV cashout
Note: In VIP Games, there is no Jackpot fee so the following formula applies:
  • EV Cashout = (Pot size - rake) x Equity
  • a 1% fee is charged on EV cashout

Are there any extra fees?
A 1% fee will be charged when a player claims EV Cashout

When does EV Cashout not apply?
EV Cashout will not apply in the following circumstances:

  • If you have less than 60% EV in the hand.
  • You are playing in a game using tournament chips or All-in or Fold.
  • If you accept Run it twice/three times.

Why was EV Cashout not applied to my hand?
Please ensure your hand has met the qualification requirements below:

  • Players with 60% or higher pot equity after all live players have revealed their hole cards will be offered an EV Cashout.
  • The game was Hold’em, PLO, PLO-5, Rush & Cash, and Short Deck.
  • EV Cashout was accepted
  • When there are multiple pots, EV Cashout is offered combining all pots which you are eligible to win.
  • If RIMT (Run it multiple times) and EV Cashout qualifications are met and you select RIMT, EV Cashout is negated and not offered.
  • If you are still unsure - please contact us directly by email with the Hand History ID.

EV Cashout in multiway pots
Each value is calculated in the following steps:

  • Equities are calculated separately for the main pot and side pot/s
  • EV Cashout is calculated with (Main pot size * Main pot equity) + (Side pot size * Side pot equity).
If the total equity is equal to or more than 60% and is not run multiple times, EV Cashout can be selected.

I ran out of time and I didn't get to select EV Cashout - what happened?
Unfortunately, if players do not accept the EV Cashout within the given time period, the offer will be automatically declined.

When will my EV Cashout be paid?
EV Cashout will be paid after the hand finishes.

If I take the EV Cashout option am I still eligible for the Bad Beat Jackpot?
Yes, there are no implications on Bad Beat Jackpot eligibility for taking the EV Cashout

Will the EV Cashout result be displayed in PokerCraft?
EV Cashout results will not be displayed in PokerCraft. However it is displayed in the text hand history.
